The Pine Grove Missions Committee consists of Bill Miner (chair and treasurer), Bernard Nmai and Dan Wright.
Our mandate is “to identify, encourage and support Local and Foreign missions, on behalf of Pine Grove, that align with the beliefs of Pine Grove, and to facilitate missional involvement of our Pine Grove Community.
Our objectives are
- to assist local and foreign missionaries and ministries so that they are more effective,
- intentional engagement in missions by the Pine Grove congregation and
- ensure that the Pine Grove leadership are well supported and resourced with advice, recommendations, assistance and accountability.
The Pine Grove Missions Committee supports every missionary, mission and ministry with prayer and encouragement. Please see the bulletin board at the back of the church for the most recent updates.
Our missions support is divided into three areas
- Local (within 5 km of our church),
- National (within Canada) and
- International (outside of Canada).

Ministries
The Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard is the food bank that services the area around our church.
You can contribute by dropping off non-perishable food items in the church foyer.
Ottawa Innercity Ministries supported homeless people in Ottawa.
Ben Peltz
I’m a husband, father, and pastor living in Peterborough, Ontario. My wife Shoshanna and I grew up in Ottawa and came to Peterborough for school in 2006, at which time we became involved in ministering to youth, young adults, and First Nations People. Since 2010 this has been my primary vocation. Currently, my ministry runs through Vision Ministries of Canada and includes providing spiritual support for students at Trent University, pastoring Curve Lake Christian Assembly, and collaborating with James Bay Cree Christians to serve youth in their communities. Janet Epp Buckingham
Janet Epp Buckingham is a member of Pine Grove who serves with the World Evangelical Alliance. Her role involves high-level strategic oversight of teams at the United Nations in New York, Geneva and Bonn as well as the International Institute for Religious Freedom (an academic institute researching religious freedom operating at several locations around the world). While the WEA advocates for a variety of issues, she is also tasked with offering to the organization her expertise in religious freedom, and its protection.
