Missions

The Pine Grove Missions Committee consists of Bill Miner (chair and treasurer), Meg Stickl (secretary), Ron Witmer, Roger Smith, and Marnie Beaubien.
The budget entrusted to the committee by Pine Grove Bible Church is distributed to foreign and Canadian missionaries. We support three foreign missionaries in Uruguay, Cecelia and Rob Russell, Eunice and Ken Russell, and Leticia and Andrew Russell. The missionaries we support are active in all aspects of Uruguayan life. They minister to married couples, families, children, and prison inmates. They're also involved in camps, drug and addiction counselling, radio broadcasting, preaching, teaching, and visitations.
We also support four missions in Canada. Lionel Russell, a retired missionary living near Oshawa, ministers to Hispanic and migrant workers in the Toronto area. Airport Chaplaincy Ministries serves the workers and travelers at the Ottawa International Airport. Ottawa Inner City Ministries is an outreach program operating in the heart of our city ministering to the poor and homeless. New Connections Ministries ministers to primarily to men who are in prison, on parole and re-integrating to society. New Connections also has a drug recovery home in the city of Ottawa. We also support a Compassion Canada child. Our sponsor child lives in Uganda and provides us with reports on how our support has encouraged her, her family, and her community.
In the past year we have provided a one time support to Cassia Craig as she moved to the middle east to serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship. We also recently took on a monthly support of Nathan Jost currently located in Northern Africa.
The Pine Grove Missions Committee supports every missionary, mission and ministry with prayer and encouragement. Please see the bulletin board at the back of the church for the most recent updates.
