Concerning the Trinity of the Godhead

We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections.

Concerning God

There is but one God; He is the Creator, Preserver and Ruler of All things and to Him we owe the highest love, reverence and obedience.

Concerning Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He rose to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings.

Concerning the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is poured out on the Church in power, fulfilling the promise of Jesus and releasing the gifts of the Spirit to all believers. He indwells and empowers every believer in Jesus Christ for worship, understanding of God’s word, prayer, ministry and the proclamation of Jesus’ teaching to the world. The Holy Spirit lives in every Christian from the moment of conversion and provides the power, the guidance and the gifts for the abundant life.

Concerning the Bible

The Bible is God’s word to all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is His truth.

Concerning People

We were created in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. We are the ultimate object of God’s creation. While people have tremendous potential for good, we are impaired by a condition of disobedience toward God called sin. This condition separates us from God.

Concerning Salvation

Salvation and the “New” life are gifts, from God to people, and received by a simple act of faith. We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life.

Concerning Eternity

We were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or with Him through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. Eternal life is to be eternally in union with Him. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

Concerning Eternal Life

As God gives people eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us the security of eternal life.
