About Pine Grove

We are a diverse group of people trying to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • Pine Grove is a Christian church. This means that, first and foremost, it is one of the hundreds of thousands of congregations all over the world that believe in and follow Jesus Christ as the Saviour and Lord of all.
  • Pine Grove is a non-denominational church, which simply means that it is not affiliated with any particular denomination.
  • Pine Grove is an evangelical church, which means that the focus of our beliefs and mission comes from the good news found in Jesus Christ.

Listen to an introduction to Pine Grove.

When do you meet?

We meet every Sunday from 10 to 11:30 am. We also share our building with Centre Évangélique Francophone d’Ottawa (CEFO), who meet at 4 pm.

What is Pine Grove’s core value?

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind. Love your neighbour as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39).

Who speaks on Sunday?

We have a different speaker every week! This diversity in speakers helps us to understand the diversity of the Christian walk. We hear sermons from young and old, women and men. You can listen to sermons online.

What’s the music like?

We love music at Pine Grove! We sing about eight songs on a Sunday morning, led by a diverse group of music teams. Some days we use the acoustic piano, and other days we have a full band. We sing everything from hymns to contemporary songs.

What about communion?

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday. All Christians are welcome to partake in the bread and grape juice. (Gluten-free bread is made available.)

Are there activities for kids and teens?

Yes! During the service on Sunday mornings, children join their parents until communion. After that, they head upstairs for Sunday School where they learn about the Bible, play games, and do crafts. We also support a youth group called Fusion. Check out the Ministries page for more information.

Are there activities for mothers?

Yes! Mothers are invited to “Take-a-Break” for some free child care and boost of community mid-week. Check out the Take-a-Break page for more information.

Are there activities for seniors?

Yes! The “Empty Nesters” meet every few weeks, and they have a great time!

What about Bible studies?

We have quite a few informal study groups at Pine Grove. Most groups meet weekly or bi-weekly in houses around Ottawa. Check out the Bible Studies page for more information.
